Annual OKNA Picnic 2025

The Oak Knoll Neighborhood Association (OKNA) brought neighbors together in a spirited celebration at its First County Fair since COVID-19 on Sunday, October 5, 2025, from 2–6 PM. Reviving the beloved Oak Knoll Picnic tradition with a new country-fair twist, the event marked a joyful return to community gatherings.

Held at a private residence on Oak Knoll Avenue in Pasadena, the fair welcomed more than 150 residents for an afternoon filled with old-fashioned fun and hometown charm.

Highlights included a 25-foot Ferris wheel, a petting zoo, country line dancing with a live caller, and a performance by Pasadena Civic Ballet.

Guests also enjoyed an appearance by the Pasadena Fire Department and an abundance of classic fair treats - from Dinah’s famous fried chicken and fluffy cotton candy to artisanal ice cream from Michoacana and delicious desserts generously donated by The Langham Huntington, Pasadena.

“This event is all about bringing neighbors together for a nostalgic afternoon of connection, laughter, and fun,” said Zoe Vidalakis, OKNA Board President. “We’re thrilled to continue this cherished neighborhood tradition, once paused by COVID, and make it even more memorable for our community.”

Vidalakis added, “From the moment the Ferris wheel started turning, there was a feeling of pure joy and excitement in the air. Neighbors truly enjoyed reconnecting, sharing stories, and celebrating the sense of community that makes Oak Knoll so special.”
The Oak Knoll County Fair was a heartwarming success — a joyful reminder of the neighborhood’s enduring spirit and the simple pleasures of coming together.
